A visit to Adelaide Oval offers a valuable and stimulating learning experience for students from Primary School all the way through to Tertiary studies. Hence it is a popular excursion location for education groups.

The modern and diverse nature of the facilities, rich history and cultural heritage provides an inspiring backdrop to foster deep learning connections and student engagement across a broad range of applicable curriculum areas.

We aim to provide tailored tours and further initiatives that can accommodate for Primary, Middle and Secondary year levels as well as tertiary organisations, education staff, Out of School Hours Care groups and sports teams.

We accommodate for contemporary curriculum frameworks including the Australian Curriculum and SACE. Key curriculum learning area connections include within:

  • Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)
  • Health and Physical Education, Sport and Recreation or Outdoor Education
  • Tourism and Hospitality
  • Design, Media and Technology
  • Careers
  • Science or STEM
  • Business and Event Management

Our standard product is a 60-minute guided educational tour tailored to your purpose.

Cost
$8 per student for primary
or $11 per student for secondary or tertiary

Supervising adult ratio of 1:10 is required. Additional adults beyond this quota are $19 each.

Term 4 Bookings

Are you looking for a unique and fun learning experience to round out your 2017 school year? A visit to Adelaide Oval is the answer!

For Primary & Middle Years we offer:

  • Adelaide Oval Highlights Tour with optional Virtual Reality Cricket add-on
  • HASS excursion including a historical tour, workshop and Adelaide Oval museum exhibits (strong curriculum connections to significance, change & preservation and popular culture)
  • The chance to explore the Bradman Collection and Adelaide Oval museum exhibits to discover the legacy of Sir Donald Bradman and the evolution of sport throughout the 20th century. Learning activities can be provided.
  • Sports Tour during Physical Education Week (November 13-17) including an active exercise

For Secondary Years we offer:

  • Adelaide Oval Highlights Tour with optional Virtual Reality Cricket add-on
  • Careers Tour including connections to Tourism, Hospitality, Media and Sport
  • The Commonwealth Bank RoofClimb adventure, which includes facts and stories about Adelaide Oval and South Australia

Holiday Activities Program

Our School Holiday Activities Program has been designed to cater for OSHC and Vacation Care groups.
Come in for a visit from April 2017 for unlimited fun.

We can offer:

  • A ‘Behind the Scenes’ Guided Discovery Tour
  • ‘Virtual Reality’ Cricket Gaming
  • A fun range of activities in our Media Centre

Up to 2 hours of dedicated activity time with both AM and PM sessions available.

Cost
$8 per child, supervising adult rate subject to ratio.
